If you're searching for a pleasurable diversion, look somewhere else - this lp was composed by the Western quintet Anoice in the wake of the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear incident that devastated parts of seaside Japan in Drive of 2011. Provided as 'both a representation on devastation and a prayer for healing,' Black Rain is definitely silent but intense, and while it will be remarkably attractive it's i9000 furthermore poignant to the point of heartbreak. This team plays mostly acoustic equipment (piano, cello, viola, percussion, acoustic guitar) but also includes synthesizers and what audio like occasional samples into its compositions.

Anoice: The Black Rain (3rd album released in 2012) 'The Black Rai'n is the third album from the Tokyo-based modern-classical/post-rock ensemble, Anoice. In addition, four music videos are now available to view on YouTube: 'ripple' directed by Patryk Seni Senwicki and Tamas Kiss in Austria, 'white paper' made by Ukrainian art unit SYN and Anoice member Takahiro Kido, and the videos for 'finale' and 'drops' were created by the members of Anoice themselves.

At occasions those compositions are deceptively simple-sounding, and occasionally (as on the peaceful and beautiful 'Ripple') they are genuinely easy. But they efficiently communicate a feeling of both reduction and wish, of contemplation and sometimes anger. The 1st eight paths on the program develop up to the appropriately titled ninth monitor, 'Finale,' which is definitely sonically huge without very lapsing into bombast, and emotionally powerful without lapsing intó bathos. The lp then ends with 'Drop Asleep,' a item of almost subliminal quietness and soft beauty. Turmoil often produces artwork, but not really very frequently does it effect in art this engaging.
